MEADOW RESIDENCE
This home was designed as a young couple's primary residence and as a home
office for a technical writer. The home was conceived as a series of spaces
that would unfold along a primary circulation axis. These spaces vary in
size, volume and character to match the associated activities. The overall
configuration of the house is rectilinear, with a series of extruded, gabled
roofs. Materials and construction systems were carefully chosen for cost
effectiveness, while maintaining durability and low maintenance. An exterior
deck located off the home office, as well as a terrace on grade, facilitate
easy access to the exterior.
