LEAVENWORTH RESIDENCE

This new custom home was designed as a retirement residence to replace an
existing two-story home on the site. The existing home was moved to a nearby
property and refurbished; however, the exist garage was retained and
remodeled to blend with the new house. The clients sought a comfortable,
single level home that would function well during the warmth of the summer
as well as the cold of Eastern Washington winters. A central living space,
capped by a light monitor, allows natural light to penetrate deep into the
interior, while extensive outdoor decks and a screened porch facilitate
outdoor living.
